CJC-1295 and ipamorelin: how long until results?

No one has published a study of CJC-1295 and ipamorelin taken together, so there’s no measured answer to when results show up, or to whether they do. What has been timed in people is each molecule’s hormone response on its own: ipamorelin’s growth hormone pulse peaks at 0.67 hours and then fades,2 and one shot of long-acting CJC-1295 keeps IGF-1 raised for 9 to 11 days.3

Why there's no measured answer

The pairing has no trial behind it. The published record on the two together is ten papers: nine reviews from 2026 and a 2013 method for spotting peptides in horse plasma. None of them gave the pair to people.

One of those reviews, written for doctors whose patients self-inject, notes that the pairing usually uses the form of CJC-1295 without DAC, and says of the habit:1

this practice is largely driven by anecdotal rationale, and controlled clinical evidence supporting synergy or meaningful body-composition outcomes in healthy individuals remains limited
Dominikowski et al. 2026, on CJC-1295 with ipamorelin, read September 2026

That matters for timing. The form in most pairings is the one with no human data at all: no half-life, no hormone curve, nothing to put a clock on.1 What CJC-1295 does sets out the two forms, and which CJC-1295 are you buying covers why the listings don’t say which one is in the vial.

What has been timed, one molecule at a time

Ipamorelin works in hours. In healthy men given a single infusion, growth hormone came in one burst and was gone:

The time course of GH stimulation by ipamorelin showed a single episode of GH release with a peak at 0.67 hours and an exponential decline to negligible GH concentration at all doses.
Gobburu et al. 1999, abstract, read September 2026

Its recorded half-life is ~2 hours.2 Reported protocols spread it through the day to match: the review’s table of what people describe online gives “2 or 3 injections/day, timed to mimic natural GH pulses”.1

The long-acting form of CJC-1295 works in days. One injection raised growth hormone for 6 days or more and IGF-1 for 9 to 11 days, repeat doses kept IGF-1 above baseline for up to 28 days, and its half-life is 5.8–8.1 days.3

So the hormone part of “results” is quick. Ipamorelin’s pulse peaks within the hour, and a single dose of the DAC form covers more than a week of raised IGF-1. What neither set of trials measured is anything you’d see in a mirror or feel in the gym.

Plasma half-life, logarithmic scale, ordered shortest first. The spacing is the point: linear spacing would put 1 of the 2 bands drawn here inside one smudge at the left edge. Where a figure is a range the mark is the range; where a single value is recorded the mark is a tick, because a bar there would draw a span nobody measured.

The form of CJC-1295 without DAC has no bar: no human study has reported its half-life.

Where the week counts come from

The timelines you’ll be quoted come from forums, not trials. The same review collects what people report online, in a table it labels “anthropological/behavioural data, not clinical recommendations”. For CJC-1295 without DAC it lists “Typical cycles: 12–16 weeks on, followed by 4–6 weeks off”, and for ipamorelin “typical cycle: 8–12 weeks on, followed by 4–6 weeks off”.1

Those are how long people say they run it. None of them is a measurement of when anything started to work.

The two sellers here that list the pair describe it in their own words, and neither gives a timeline:

A growth-hormone secretagogue pairing used to support recovery, lean mass, sleep, and vitality
Longevixx, “CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin” listing, read September 2026
The gold-standard growth-hormone stack
ElitePhysiqMD, “CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin” listing, read September 2026

Both pages add “Individual results vary.” The first listing names recovery, lean mass, sleep and vitality, and none of those has been measured for the pairing in people. The figures each seller charges, with the date they were read, are on the board on the home page and on their seller records.

Does the pairing work?

At raising growth hormone, each half has been shown to work on its own, in small trials of healthy people: ipamorelin in healthy men,2 the DAC form of CJC-1295 in healthy adults.3 At anything a buyer would notice, the pair hasn’t been tested, and the form of CJC-1295 in most pairs hasn’t been tested in people at all.1

No seller here prices ipamorelin on its own, which can you buy ipamorelin on its own documents listing by listing, and the claim that it spares cortisol is examined, with the species it was measured in, on does ipamorelin raise cortisol. Why the two are paired at all, one molecule on each of two receptors, is laid out on GHRH analogs vs ghrelin mimetics.
